Another Awesome Week of Learning.
This week we have been working hard at revising our S A T P I N letters and we have begun our next set of letters. They are M R H E D C. We have worked with m and r so far.
We made muffins and robots, painted and printed our letters and made them out of play dough too!.
Every day we count. There is so much counting to be done! Ask your child to teach you how to play Quick Draw McGraw. This is a simple and fun little game that makes us think about counting and subitising.
In literature we read Handa's Surprise by Eileen Browne. We talked about what happens first in the story, second, third and last of all. Everyone was very clever at sequencing pictures taken from the book.
Our science focus for the last few weeks has been floating and sinking. This week we got to make some great little cork boats and we hope to float them down the stream in the kindy playground.
Big news! Mrs Young became grandmother to a beautiful little girl last week. She will be with her daughter and granddaughter in Adelaide for the rest of the term taking some well earned Long Service Leave. Mrs Kylie Rann will be taking her place until she returns.
It certainly is the season for babies. Ruby welcomed her lovely little brother Felix into the world two weeks ago and this week Lara was lucky enough to get a new sister. Lea joined her family on the 10th of March.
Thank you to the beautiful mums who came and did parent roster this week. You were so helpful.
If you haven't put your name on the classroom roster yet then please do so.
Don't forget a piece of fruit every day and crackers and popcorn make a welcome addition to our fruit.
