The children have made a very settled start back at school for Term Four.
We took advantage of the weather last week and took our learning outdoors as much as possible to allow the children to soak up some of that glorious sunshine.
We are busily getting ready for our assembly now, which is Friday of Week Three.
Friday the 28th of October. Save the date!
A letter will go home over the next few days informing you about costume requirements. Don't stress as our costuming is very low key and achievable for this assembly.
The packed recess food is going very well, with the children making sensible and informed choices about what to eat and when.
This term we will be travelling around the world and learning about different cultures. We have begun the term by looking at the Australian Aboriginal Culture. It has been really interesting.
We will then look at Asia, Europe and Africa before spending some time exploring the traditions of Christmas. If you have any resources which relate to any of these countries please bring them in for the children to view.
The new Sharing Roster is going home today. Please make sure your child is prepared for their sharing day.
Welcome back to Mrs Sorgiovanni who is back with us on Fridays.
Please remember Library bags and PLD Comprehension Packs on Wednesdays.
Please put your child's reading folder into the pink reading exchange box every morning. Please also place your child's pack of sight words in the folder so that we can update it and replace any missing word cards. It is our Learning Intention for all children to be able to read and write their first 25 Sight words before moving to Year One. Well done to those children who know many more!
