Multicultural Day. Thursday the 30th of November.

We are all getting very excited about our Multicultural Day which is to be held on this Thursday the 30th of November.
We have some great activities lined up thanks to the wonderful response we have had from parents in both classes to set up and lead experiences.
The children will be making Japanese Sushi with Carolyn, playing a Mexican version of Pin the Tail on the Donkey with Vince, creating African Jewelry with Bronwyn, learning to use Spanish castanets with Danielle, making papadams and tasting vegetarian curry from Sri Lanka with Julia (and possibly Lakey's Grandad who was born in Sri Lanka), playing a German game with Oliver's Au Pair, making Italian pasta with Leah P, making Japanese fans with Leah R and making a thistle with Tristan's mum and grandad who will be wearing their kilts!  Wow!  Who would have known we had such a multicultural group!
All parents will need to be set up and ready to go at 9.05am.   If anyone needs anything prepared please let us know ASAP.
After recess Danielle will treat us to a performance from the Spanish Dancing Group.  How exotic!

Your child will need to come to school wearing something simple from another country.  It may just be a hat or some special shoes.  If you have a whole costume that would be great but please don't go to too much trouble.  It is the end of the year and you have all been marvelous with costumes all year long.

Please pack morning tea and lunch as usual.
